2010 Ridley Noah w/ SRAM Red, Size M, $1900
- Amazing road bike. Accelerates rapidly with no flex in the bottom bracket. The front end is stiff and responsive. Corners quickly and is very responsive to rider input. I absolutely loved riding this bike fast and racing on it. Alas, I’m not doing much of either of those things lately, so it’s time to go. I built in August of 2010. Rode it regularly through around April of 2011. Since then, it’s been ridden less and less each month. It’s in great shape!
- It’s a size M, which is a 56.5 cm effective top tube. I’m 5’10″ and it fits me great. I usually ride around a 56 cm top tube bike.
- Don’t let the seat tube scare you off. It has a lot of adjustment and it really makes the rear triangle laterally stiff. And there is adjustment available.
-- Currently the bottom bracket to SEAT RAIL is 70 cm.
-- Currently the bottom bracket to Saddle Top is 73 cm (Specialized Romin Saddle).
-- There are shims (shown below) to adjust the saddle UP at least another 2.5 cm. If that’s not enough, Ridley offers an alternate clamp that allows 4.0 cm of adjustment.
-- If you need to lower the saddle, it’s easy to cut the seat tube with the guide (shown below) and a hack saw.
