is $80 too much to pay for a two day, three stage race?

I'm working on getting the flyer up and registration open for the Chico Stage race and would like some input from my cycling peers. I've been planning on an $80 entry fee for this race but don't want to scare racers away. I realize that this is a bit more that other similar stage races but put forth that this budgets a 10K cash payout and a downtown crit course costs us $$$. (we could have the crit out at the Chico airport for a lot less but would lose a LOT of character) We're not a business out for maximum profit but would like to put on a quality event and not lose money. What to y'all think?
