The Reno Wheelmen and Alta Alpina Cycling Club are hosting a 4-race hill climb time trial series in Northern Nevada this year. The first event is this Sunday, May 18, up Geiger Grade in Reno. Part-time Reno resident Bobby Julich set the verified course record of 29:25 just last year, but local cycling lore holds that Reno native Greg LeMond did the climb in under 28 minutes before he moved on to Tour fame.
