Why Active.com ???

Just curious: Why do some race organizers choose Active.com for on-line registration instead of SBO or BikeReg? Is their way of doing things somehow easier for organizers? Or do they get a kickback on processing fees? Will these organizers separately post a regularly updated pre-reg list to make up for the lack of this feature at Active? :!:
I refuse to use Active. There is no "customer service" to speak of. Never know if a field is full. Then your e-mail addy ends up on an mass mailing list. Nope, I will never deal wiht that company again. :x
