We have already solidified our roster and finalized our clothing, but I still get inquiries from new riders interested in getting started with racing.

I would like to know if I can give them some referrals for East Bay Teams.

Thanks,
Ron

Team's looking for new racers?

Think Belgium! Team CS, the development specific masters racing team is hosting another training ride in the Bay Area...this time in the Napa Valley. Come prepared to ride/train in the rain! We, as a team, have been slowly building up the base time/miles, increasing our individual aerobic engines with low intensity, pedalling specific training rides. This, to increase our economy (imagine a gas tank that is thinking green). We are meeting this Saturday in Yountville for an approximate 4.5hr training ride. Come out and learn how to have an efficient pedal stroke, meet some of the team for some comaderie and lunch after! Rain is supposed to come in
the afternoon, but come prepared regardless! Meet at the Yountville
Elementary School. The link for the ride:

Masters 4/5 squad in Davis always happy for more

We've been building a strong team of ol' dewds just starting out racing, with heavy focus on teamwork, skill-building and good fun (and beer, of course). Anyone is welcome to join us for training rides and to coordinate as a team for races. We win some, we lose some, but mostly we enjoy racing and sticking our necks out for each other. the http://www.dbcraceteam.org website can be a start, otherwise bug me or one of the team directors for more info.

The Eagle Racing Team is ready for 2008!!

We have our sponsors and financing all lined up for our second year. The ERT kits have been completely redesigned, we have the backing of the best cycling club in the region, and we have the best training roads in the country. The benefits of ERT team participation surpass those of any 3/4/5 M/F team of which we’re aware. And we have a great group of guys and gals to hang and ride with.

IS THIS HEAVEN?? Close. It’s Napa Valley.

For details, come to the Team Meeting: November 8th, 7:00pm -
Downtown Joe's American Grill & Brewhouse
902 Main Street (corner of 2nd)
Napa, CA 94559

I am assuming that many teams are not local to just the East Bay. So, with that thought Team CS is conducting a training ride out of Dublin this Sunday, Oct 28, working our way down to Sunol and at the same time working on our own individual aerobic engine, pedal stroke and pacline practice. If you want to join a MASTERS DEVELOPMENT Racing Team with a focus on your DEVELOPMENT as a racer, look no farther. Yes, we have a nice kit (blue), but if that is all you want go and join that other team (smiley)! You can view the team website at http://www.teamcyclingsystems.com. Once there you can also view the Team CS blog with information about the training ride. Just click on the blog banner at the top to get to the site and then click on 'training rides' to view the current Team CS Fall Training Rides. We are a local team (Marin/Sonoma) but think global. If you have any questions, feel free to give a call/email to me.

Not to mention the best group of guys a veloisto could ever hope to pal around with. And the kit will make you look like a DC superhero! (Not Marvel like the EMC spidey-thing).

BBC welcomes you

If you're looking for a great bunch of guys to ride/race with in the East Bay/Berkeley area, you might want to consider the Berkeley Bicycle Club, one of region's club whose rich history started way before hard shell helmets, clipless pedals, and index shifting. Peter Rich, George Mount, Calvin Trampleasure, Bob Muzzy, Bob Roll, Hal Tozer, Galvin Chilcott, Cindy Olivari, Mike Neel, and our very own Tom Simonson line the halls of alumni. You too can be part of history.

You can check out the website @ http://www.berkeleybike.org. Club meetings are the first Monday of the month and are held upstairs at Velo Sport, 1615 University Avenue @ California. All categories are welcome and if you're a 35+4/5, 35+1/2/3, or Senior 3/4, you'll have plenty of company on race day.

Come to a meeting or join one of our club rides. Now's the time to get acquainted, train during the winter, and come out banging next season!

Teams looking for new riders can make themselves known at the "Meet the Teams" day held during one of the Fremont Early Bird Criteriums in late January.
