team tents welcome at Tri-Flow Menlo Park Grand Prix
Tue, 03/04/2008 - 4:25pm
bring on the teams! I think San Jose Bike Club registered 45 riders for Menlo Park (is that right, Jonathan?) -- not all in one field, of course. thank you for your tremendous support!
anyways, we love teams, so we want to invite you to set up one 10 x 10 tent for your team in our expo area. the only caveat, please don't plan to park your vehicle in the team area -- sorry but we just can't accommodate that. drive up, drop off your tent, trainers, and bikes, and then park on the side streets.
the team area will be adjacent to the course, right next to the registration tent -- on Chrysler Drive. you can access this area via Independence. find an open spot and call it yours!

Cat 2s get plenty of love and their their own field in the Central Valley Classic. It is even later in the day so you can sleep in.
Shoot... we even created a Cat 2 field in the 99-Series.
I'm sure we'll see you here!

The 2s will be racing at CVC......
As you may know, Menlo Park ran on the same weekend as the CVC stage race (NRC) last year. The promoters of both races agreed not to have conflicting categories, which is why we filled the day at Menlo Park with masters racing and single category races. This selection of races worked great in 2007, and since we were schedule the same weekend as CVC again this year, we decided to stick with it.
The trade-off is that we don't have elite men P/1/2 or women 1/2 at Menlo Park. Of course, both of these fields are highlighted at CVC on Sunday.
However, we will have elite fields at the Foster City Grand Prix on July 27th.
Even if you're not racing on Saturday, I would encourage you to come out, spectate, volunteer, and/or just heckle.
