It was an absolutely beautiful day for racing. But, why was it that the "lower" categories had no podium? Why did Velo Promo have pace motorcycles parked on the course just pass the finish line? And, I witnessed a very experienced racer give a heads up to another racer and the reply was an loud and angry "F%#$ YOU!" I am sick and tired of people setting this tone in a bike race. Just had to vent.

I agree with Jess, this is a terrible course to race on...but I'm like that drug junkie...I know that what I'm doing isn't right, but I just can't help myself, can't wait to get back on it next season

I agree about podiums.

Why is it that I hate some courses with ridiculous pavement hazards and love others?

That pothole at the center of the finish line was most interesting. We had a guy in the pro race hit that hole and double-flat. Then his rear tube wrapped around the cassette and through the derailleur. A most curious predicament.

Still, I love this race -- holes, tracks, dips and everything.

Thanks Robert & Metromint! And thanks for the burger and suds, Squadra!! Well done!!

I agree on the lack of podium. As we all know, podium photos are a great opportunity for teams to highlight (and thank) their sponsors. And racers can send them to mom + dad. How hard is it to get the top 5 together and let their friends snap a pic?

Podiums, please!
