Sea Otter Registration Question

I am signed up for one of the mid-day Saturday road races at Sea Otter. I have not been down there at all yet. I am planning to drive down tomorrow morning. From the race website I see this:

Wednesday 12 noon to 6 pm.
Thursday and Friday 6 am to 6 pm.
NO SAME-DAY REGISTRATION. YOU MUST REGISTER THE DAY PRIOR TO YOUR RACE DAY.
Pre-Registered athletes can pick-up numbers up to 1 hour before your race start time

What does this mean exactly? Did I have to do some sort of other event registration on Wed.-Fri. in order to race on Saturday? Or can I just pick up my number Saturday morning since I signed up online for my race a few weeks ago?

Thanks!

Sea Otter Registration Question

Disk Zero:

Thanks for the very helpful information. I haven't done Sea Otter before. It seemed like too big a spectacle to me in the past. I am planning to get there about 2 hours before my race starts and I hope that's enough of a margin for error.

Sea Otter Registration Question

You are already registered, so you can just go to the registration area and pick up your number and timing chip, if you are doing one of the road races.

I raced today and am going down tomorrow for a noon race as well. If you haven't been before, Sea Otter is super busy. Give yourself some time as traffic moves slow as soon as you get into Laguna Seca. Most likely you will be parking quite a ways from the start line. Look for the small blimp hovering above the registration area down in the paddock area. Things are very organized, so just look for the proper line to get into and you will get your number. It is a bit of a bummer to have to travel a ways to get registered only to have to go back uphill to warm up, but it is Sea Otter and it is a ton of fun!
