Return of the Butterfly Criterium

Many of you have heard that we (Pebble Beach/Pacific Grove club Ghost Tree Racing) are bringing back the Butterfly Criterium to downtown Pacific Grove. This crit ran in the mid-1970s to early 1980s. It was a popular National Prestige Classic event.

There have been a few new developments with the Butterfly Criterium.
• Three kids races will take place at 2:20pm for girls and boys 5-and-under, 6-8 and 9-12.
• Full electronic timing and scoring will be provided by Hardcard Systems with disposable chips. Put a small sticker on your helmet and you don't have to return it!
• Local merchants and restaurants have provided merchandise and nice meals for primes.
• Hotels just off the course have specials for racers that don't want to make the early drive to the race or want to bring their families.

Purse was increased today from $3,000 to $5,000.
Yeah, it's weird. When you click Find People on Twitter, ButterflyCrit does not come up, but when you click search at the bottom of the page and search it, we're there. We're posting course updates, cool photos from the race from the 70s, new sponsors, etc. Have a look.
