If you have already qualified for camp, you will find a link in the top right corner of your "My USA Cycling" homepage.
The West Coast Camp is scheduled for June 15-20 at Sonoma State University. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Hi Claire,
I was very happy to get Larry Nolan's email about how the junior development camp is nearly full. This is definitely due to your (and several other folks) efforts over the last several years.
If you have a junior or U23 athlete that meets criteria for this camp, check the below link out. Some of the best advice, training, and coach you will get.

Yes, that's right. :)
Thanks, and just to clarify, a 14-year-old would have to finish in the top 3 of a 15-16 Junior Points Series race to qualify?
I agree, what you see on the website is confusing.
The "one or more of the following standards" part is definitely a typo. The 14-22 age restriction is correct, and of course they must hold a USAC license. They are automatically qualified if they've meet one of the other 5 criteria, and this should be reflected on their "My USA Cycling" homepage.
And because we have our own points series here in the NCNCA region, athletes who finish top-3 at any Junior Points Series race are also eligible. I would ask that these juniors email their results to me so I can update their eligibility. We've made similar accommodations for juniors from the OBRA region.
Mr. Meilahn, I hope this answers your question about the LAJORS events.

Thanks Claire,
The qualifications (below) are a little confusing. It says athletes must meet one or more of the following standards, but the first one is just that they're between 14 and 22. Does that mean that anyone between the ages of 14 and 22 can attend?

How to Qualify:
Road and Cross Country Mountain Bike:
To ensure the safety of all camp participants and to maximize the learning opportunities for all, there is a minimum standard of on-the-bike competency that all camp participants must satisfy. Athletes that are automatically eligible to participate in the camps meet one or more of the following standards:
1. Be at least 14 years old on the day the camp starts and no older than racing age 22.
2. Participated in the 2007 Regional Camp program.
3. Carry a valid 2008 collegiate racing license (men, D, C, or B and women, C or B) and are under the age of 23 in 2008.
4. Finish in the top-5 in a LAJORS race (15/16 or 17/18 category) since June 1, 2007. Athletes that are 14 y/o must qualify through the 15/16 category. Results in the 13/14 category will not be counted.
5. Finish in the top-5 in an ADJOMTB race (Sport or Expert 15/16 or 17/18 category) since June 1, 2007. Athletes that are 14 y/o must qualify through the 15/16 category. Results in the 13/14 category will not be counted.
6. Finish in the top-10 in the Road Race, Time Trial, or Criterium event at the 2007 Junior National Road Cycling Championships. 13/14, 15/16, and 17/18 results will be considered
7. Represented the United States in International Competition in 2007.
Since LAJORS events are scarce in this district, would the JPS standings qualify one for the camp, or would one have to race in southern CA or Arizona LAJORS races to qualify?
