Went down and did the Montrose and PCH race training rides. I'm hooked on racing against the SoCal boys. 3% grades are considered hills. LOL

Is the USAC license good for Southern California?

What about other states?

No, your USAC license won't be sufficient. You'll need to apply for a water-thief rider on it. And learn how to breath the brown stuff they call air.

Other states are more amenable to riding, and you have the advantage over many of them as they're not as likely to have been racing the last several months. But be warned that some places have this chronic condition called humidity - it's kind of like rain, but suspended in the air. It makes you all sticky, like a Gu bottle leaked on your skin. And even where it isn't so humid, they actually get rain year round.

A day that I'm on the bike is a good day.
