Promoting this forum
Casey and Josh,
Is it possible to get some better publicity going for this forum? I just don't think enough people know about it in order to maximize its potential. It's a great format to get our ideas across and save them for the masses and beats the hell out of our current listserv. Most people would much rather browse neatly categorized topics and subtopics then receive 20 emails in a day about the relevance of Amgen to pro cycling events.
It would seem to me that the listserv should be reserved for important announcements while the messageboard should be utilized for debate/discussions. Thoughts? My personal team's messageboard gets about 25 to 65 posts per day so I feel confident that between all of the racers in our district, this board could also flourish.

Katie was the only one who entered the "guess who has a face only a mother could love"contest that knew Nikole Freedman painted her face with markings similar to the Maori tribes .Nikole's mockery of David Clinger was brilliant and Katie's archelogical diggings uncoverd what everybody else missed. Which just shows that contest results must not be posted until midnight .
What flaor granola would you like Katie?
It's not intuitive to know to come to the forums. The ncnca website condones the expression of opinions on the ncnca list. It says, "This list is for questions about upcoming races, finding a club to join, or just expressing opinions about the state of racing in the region."
So people are going to subscribe thinking they can do that. Take me. I was just expressing the opinion that Nicole Freedman sure has a nice face tattoo of a fish, and blammo! I got busted by the list police!

I didn't even know that David Clinger had one first. I was just trying to win a contest, an innocent pursuit. No, no, no, they said. That's not what this list is for. Now I'll NEVER win that bag of Galaxy Granola!

I gave Bob updated "Internet Information" for the Newsletter which included the general directions to use the mailing list for announcements and these forums for discussions.
I think having to remember to come to this url and not ncnca.org is one stumbling block that folks should not have to overcome. Just provide an easy and obvious direct link from ncnca.org.
FYI: Casey's posting to the listserv on the 20th ammouncing this forum is what got me here. I like the setup.
