I noticed a lot of racers taking pictures of the results pages at San Bruno. It seems like it might make sense to have somewhere on the NCNCA pages for people to post those jpg images of the results sheets. Or perhaps someone could upload their shots to Flickr or Picasa and then post a link to the forums? Just a thought.

I think the real question is why it takes promoters so long to post results, given that they are already in digital form for printing.

Pics from posted results at the race are not meant to replace or give reason to delay the posting of official results, but are just for those of us results junkies who want to see how a race turned out & don't want to wait until the official results are posted, often several weeks after the event.

Last season I was often searching Twitter for posted pics of race results for races I couldn't attend so I could keep tabs on the BAR/BAT competition.

I sure hope this doesn't replace the organizers posting results to the feedzone or to NCNCA racing. As a 45+ I was at least able to get my official time from the pictures, thanks a ton, but as a really slow climber, I wasn’t able to see how many actually participated. And as a numbers guy I kind of track that stuff. Heck as long as I beat my time last year, maybe I shouldn’t care

As a team, we've taken results photos for years (for our own use). My only concern with posting results photos is that the photo posted should be the FINAL results -- not the PRELIMINARY results. I think it would be confusing if we see conflicted results on-line (various versions of photos and the official results posted to USAC).

I have been tweeting pics of all the results at the last few races I went to and did the same for San Bruno. The 1st page of the results from each group for the San Bruno Mtn. Hill Climb can be found on my twitter page at
http://twitter.com/christophipps (though you'll have to scroll down a bit)

I have found that after most races you can go to twitter.com (no twitter account necessary) and search for the race name, for example search for "San Bruno Results" and links to the pics I took will come up.

That said, I know it would be helpful if we could have a link from this site to all race results photos.

I will bring that up at the NCNCA meeting next Monday.
