In a mixed category race (e.g. senior 3/4) are the points given out separately for the different categories? For example if you are a cat 4 and placed 4th and the first three places are cat 3s do you get 7 points as a 4 or just 3 points?

Bar/Bat

I think it's a great idea to limit the number of races that count for BAR/BAT.
2 Crits and 2 RR's a month or 25 total or something. Not to insinuate that those who win BAR are not deserving, they are; however, those with the opportunity to race 50+ times during the season have a huge advantage as it becomes a numbers game. If there is a period during the season where you’re unable to race, you fall so far behind that you become disinterested in it. If the number of races were reduced, even if you go a month without racing, you’d only miss a few BAR/BAT races and still be in the running. 25 races would certainly produce a worthy champion. And races that want to participate in BAR/BAT should have a consistent category breakout.

If the races are combined in the results then there is only one set of upgrade points. If the results are broken down into 3s and 4s (with separate prizes for each category) then each category will get upgrade points.
