Petition to reschedule the Oakland Grand Prix

Don't know how Atwater turned out, but maybe if there's enough chatter on the forum they'll re-schedule the Oakland Grand Prix later this season. It's one of my favorite races. Hopefully you guys agree and will chime in to voice your support

I think it's a great idea! This race was not able to happen for a number of years and we finally got it back last year. It had to be moved/postponed due to riot concerns, but should be a great event for years to come. It's great for the local economy as Oakland grows/improves with the new events like the Oakland Marathon now taking place.
Many people may have ended their racing season by this time, but it's pretty local for many people and it could be one last fun Hurah for the 2010 season. There is a nice park right at Start/Finish with a view of Lake Merritt- perfect for a picnic. Also it's very accessible with BART. There are some great restaurants and bars in the area as well.
Hope to see some packed fields! :D
I hope you sent that as an email to Velo Promo. Robert wants to hear exactly that kind of thing. Of course, he'd also like to hear that you and your team want to come out to this (now) late in the season race in force.
