I really hate to see someone go down, also knowing it was from a blown tire rather than operator error, and SO close to the end!

How is our fellow riders that went down? My standard joke to you all in our races is that, our age (45-60+) we all have the same goal, to;

"go to work Monday without any broken bones!"

Also, my sadness to the racer who flatted at the base of the final climb, who shouted, "Not now! . . . "Not now!" So darn close, all that effort!

I also was distressed by the crash. At our age we're out there for fun and the challenge. We all have lives outside of racing, but that can change in an instant. I wish those riders who went down the best, I hope no one was injured seriously.

On a side note, I want to thank those riders who fought the urge to attack those who were down or caught behind the crash. As close as we were to the end of the race there really was not enough time to chase down an attack. Many of you may have sacraficed a high placing out of respect for others misfortune and a sense of fairness. Thank you, you demonstrated real class.
