Pat Caurant in HOP ride crash

I know this is not the forum but Team Spines Pat Caurant was hit head on today on the house of pain ride. It looks really serious. He was helicoptered to John Muir hospital in Walnut Creek.

Got news from Wayne Puckett that Pat's family and friends have started a blog about Pat's status. You can see it at http://www.caringbridge.org/cb/viewHome.do. Comments and thoughts are welcome.
I've done little to help, myself, but I talked with his mother, Mary. Pat's in the John Muir (Walnut Creek) ICU, undergoing reconstructive surgery. He broke some bones, fractured his skull and lost a lot of blood. He remained unconscious, but that was induced to keep him under for surgery and the tracheotomoy.
However, she said he looked good, once they cleaned all the blood off of him. Pat was just recovered from a bad concussion, though, which puts him at some risk.
Thanks to Pegasus's Rob, who turned around to let me know so I could call other team members and our manager. Thanks to everyone who was there and helped.
Actually, this is a good forum. We were at the site and I was hoping to find out how he's doing. If anyone has news, please let us know.
