Our teammate seriously injured
It is with great regret and sadness that I report our teammate and friend Dr. Brad Frazee was struck and severely injured by a hit-and-run motorist Tuesday evening in Mill Valley.
Brad was riding solo, descending Shoreline Highway at California Avenue when a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction crossed the centerline and hit him. The motorist did not stop, and fled the scene.
Brad was airlifted to John Muir Medical Center where he is still in intensive care suffering from severe chest and life-altering spinal injuries. The CHP has apparently located and impounded a vehicle they believe may have been driven by the hit-and-run motorist. No arrest has yet been made.
Brad is a highly capable, experienced and careful cyclist, and is a joy to ride with. Our thoughts and prayers are with Brad and his family. We are pulling for his successful recovery.

Unfortunately, Brad is still in the ICU. We are unable to post details about his injuries and condition, but he remains in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit).
I was also unhappy with the IJ, as well as all of the reports of the accident. They were very quick to blame the victim, and report a version of what happened that seemed to come from someone who initially fled the scene and said they weren't "aware" of any collision with their vehicle.

Any updates on his condition?
I disliked how the Marin IJ placed the blame on him ... how you can know anything until you hear both sides is beyond me.
