Little City is a STAGE RACE

Just to clear up any confusion. The Little City STAGE RACE is a STAGE RACE. Not only is it a STAGE RACE, it has one of the biggest prize list, $11,000 + that the Juniors and Masters have ever seen.

Now for the difference: In a STAGE RACE, you must enter and finish every STAGE to continue racing. While many STAGE RACES are scored by time, TdF, AToC, and the Giro among others, some STAGE RACES, like the Little City STAGE RACE are scored by points. This means that no matter how much time someone puts on you, if you are the next finisher, you only lose a few points. That's way cool since it gives the rest of us a chance when someone nicknamed Spartacus puts the afterburners on.

In an Omnium, everyone is usually scored by points and the most important thing is, you DON'T have to enter every stage. If the Little City STAGE RACE was an Omnium, some guy from the Isle of Man could win the sprints in two of the events, never enter the TT and still place well or even win GC.

So, the Little City STAGE RACE is a STAGE RACE no matter how you cut it. And it has lots and lots of cold hard cash available for just about everybody. Come on, even $500 for the Elite 4's. Bubba's crazy but he likes good racing and he is puttin on the best weekend party we have seen in a long time.

BTW, lots of cheap motel rooms just over the hill in South Lake Tahoe.

See ya there.

Ted
