I'll second or third the thanks for a great day of racing. The weather was perfect, parking decently available, facilities adequate (but I'm guessing that later in the day the port-o-johns might have been at capacity). The races that I rode or watched were well run, and even when the officials pulled me they did so with a smile and a friendly manner.

I'll definitely make plans to come next year, even with the funky curves that kept knocking me off of the pack. Loved the closed road, and the quality road surfaces - those factors allowed me to just pay attention to my riding and the other riders around me.

Tim

A day that I'm on the bike is a good day.

Haybales?

Whew! I was beginning to think that maybe we needed haybales where the judging stand was given the seriousness of the getoffs there!

Hope everyone involved recovers well.

Fun course

Thanks SGW for a great weekend of racing. First time I had been to Lanpark and I thought it was a really fun course. I second the motion about the haybale on the yellow swing gate. otherwise fantastic!

Also first time for the Barinni RR and had a good time as well...

Thanks again!

I also had a great day of racing - good work, people!

My one suggestion would be to perhaps put a hay bale by the metal gate on the outside entrance to the hard left hander. Plenty of people wanted that spot and if one had gone over the curb it would have been very messy.

(oh, and while I'm quibbling, make the 35+ and E3 races only separated by one race, not two. Although it's better than Wente which has the E3 at 9am and the 35+ four races later at 1:50pm -a simple switch of the Junior and E3 races would mean two helpings of pain for me, please. thanks. )

Amen!
I finished the Land Park crits out of the money but with a BIG smile on my face.
It's a great race, a great course, and great folks.
No hinkiness at all. Just good, honest, fast-paced racing.
And completely self-contained in the gorgeous park.
It's possibly the best crit N.Cal has to offer.

Great job, SGW!!!!

Ditto to all the above.
Great Race at Land Park.
Raced Bariani today, and despite my being
involved in a crash, minor to me. The race
was well organized, and our group went off
without a hitch.

Thank you SGW

Gents? Hmmm. Some women there too, in the dark helping to set up and assist the riders.

I can't remember the last time I've had to pump up my tires in the dark.

Seconded here. It was on time, well run and overall the pain came from the racing and only the racing. Good amount of places to relieve onself, too.

Was going to post a new topic here to give my apologies for the first left turn in the 35+ race -- one guy right in front of me started to skid on a locked-up rear wheel and just as I was thinking geez, learn how to handle your bike, my rear wheel cut loose too. Hubris strikes quickly and hard. Sorry sorry sorry.
