Just wanted to point out that as of today we have 133 USCF licensed juniors in the NCNCA territory. This is up from the 96 juniors we had licensed last year for an increase of about 38%. I'm not exactly sure why we are seeing so much growth in the junior numbers this year but it is nice to see the junior numbers growing.

Junior Growth this year

This week we had another 4 juniors added to the USCF database. We had 3 new junior men and 1 new junior woman. This brings us to 137 total juniors, 116 Jr. men and 21 Jr Women so far this year.

Here are some stats for Cat's Hill comparing 2004 to 2005.
Overall:
From 41 junior riders in 2004 to 79 in 2005, up 93%

By age group:
10-12: 9 to 15, up 67%
13-14: 11 to 25 up 127%
15-16: 10 to 27 up 170%
17-18: 11 to 12 up 9%

I can't explain the 38% membership increase either, but these numbers suggest that the juniors may be more active this year as well.
