Hello All -

I am writing to let you know about a change in the Memorial Day Criterium.
As some of you may know, Tieni Duro was forced to cancel the NCNCA Junior
Criterium State Championships. Subsequently, they reached out to SJBC to
see if we could help. Given our commitment to junior development, we feel
it is important that the juniors have their championship event. Therefore,
we are pleased to announce that we are partnering with Tieni Duro to
incorporate the junior championship into our Memorial Day Criterium. In
order to do this, we had to make a few small adjustments to our race. Here
are the details:

#1) The updated schedule and flyer can be seen on our website at:
http://www.memorialdaycriterium.com/

#2) You can begin registering immediately. You'll notice some small
discrepancies with our registration site, but nothing that will keep you
from registering. We hope to have SBO updated Tuesday morning.

#3) The start times of a few races have changed.

#4) The W3 and W4 races will be raced together and picked separately.

#5) Preregistration closes Wednesday night.

#6) Prizes have increased, for all categories. (Including significant %
cash)

#7) If you are a junior, you MUST be an NCNCA district rider in order to
compete in the championship events.

Finally, as many of you know, it can be difficult for promoters to break
even on junior events. It is a substantial undertaking. We hope the NCNCA
membership will reward our commitment to the juniors by participating in
this event. There are plenty of spaces open for elite and masters racers.
Please consider registering for the Memorial Day Criterium and showing your
support.

Regards,

Ramon Alarcon
