How about that CVC Race?
Mon, 03/12/2007 - 1:01pm
What a great event, too few and far between for the top notch Stage Races.
Thank you to all of the CVC squad and their big sponsor Bentley's for giving Nor Cal some of the best courses I have been on.
Thank you to CVC Mike for the announcement about the change of schedule for next year. Classy move!
I'll be back, and will bring as many teammates as I can.
Hopefully this pushes the other thread down.

Big thanks for the video work. The climbing sequence for the Master's race is sponge worthy!

I received final results from SBO late last night for GC and stage 3, but they were lacking a "time" column. They were just in numerical placing order. So I am waiting to receive another file before I can post them.
The results for the non-SR fields in the TT and Crit have been posted on the home page and the results page.

Hope it includes an E3 SR - the masters fields looked small (but wicked competitive.)
It started off a fair piece bigger, by time the crit rolled around probably half the field had gone home.
Given it was the first year offering a Master's field, I'd expect it to be much bigger next year.
Really fun race. Very nice routes, especially the road race. When will the final results for the crit and GC be posted?
Someone was shooting video out on the Road Race course, how can we access that?

As one of the Directors of the Bentley's Central Valley Classic, I would like to say thank you to all that participated in either the Stage race or the TT and Crit.
We look forward to having you all race here in the Central Valley and certainly Fresno. This years stage race was a blast to coordinate and it was incredible to see the Masters 1/2/3 field fight to the end with a display of teamwork that we all hear about but never see. For those that stayed and watched Safeway and AMD demonstrate how its supposed to work will never forget how Mike Hernandez, Dan Martin, and Larry Nolan rode for their team and also how the pack fought hard. True class. Dan Martin? You Sir, were 8 guys out there yesterday breaking your legs off for Mike. Amazing effort by all!
Thank you again for a great weekend of racing and we hope the outstanding racing continues as we head south to Visalia next weekend for the Quad Knopf Sequoia Cycling Classic. Another NRC event! That's three NRC events in the Central Valley and the third one that's within 50 miles of Fresno.
hmmm...Central Valley California. Great Road Racing, great Mountain biking and one of the best run cross events in the states. Get away from the norm and come race in the Central Valley, where the courses will always be hard and the scenery is perfect.
