It has been a while since I have done Fort Ord rr. What is a good description of the course? Any profiles out there I can view? Thanks.

I'd rather see the data from your SRM! ;)
In the piddling 6-lap geezers' race I managed to grind out 2600kJ in a bit over 3hrs, which is a bit of work for a 66kg rider. Adjusting for efficiency, that's probably good for three pints of Ben & Jerry's.
Gotta say that Ft. Ord is one of my favorite courses, and I like the new finish line. Roads are pretty heavy, but at least they're (relatively) pothole-free.
I wore my Garmin Forerunner in the race today. Here is a link to the data on Motion Based.
Elite District RR
Motion Based has something weird going on with their total climbing algorithm. If you look, you'll see that it claims 11,000' of climbing. When I downloaded it into the Garmin Training Center program on my PC though it gives a more realistic 9,100' of climbing for 110 miles. Still a fairly tough day at the office!

regardless, this is obviously a long, rolling day in the saddle, but according to the bikely elevation data, there are 1200' (366m =~1200') of climbing per lap. data seems a bit suspect to me.
This "clydesdale" rode it last year, and won't try it again! :!:
FYI, My Polar said that the total climbing for the Elite race last year was something over 8,000'. (I can't remember exactly). So that would put it at around 800' per lap.
The Hennekens Ranch climb is the biggest obstacle on the course. There are lots of places for something to happen tactically, but the Hennekens Ranch climb is the most likely place where purely forcing the pace will split the field or at least send riders out the back.
Like all versions of the Fort Ord RR this is no rest for the wicked on this course. It rarely stays flat for any length of time.
Not a pure climbers course by any means, but you BETTER be able to climb. If that makes sense...

Final course info posted at velopromo.
I know Start finish and registration will be in a different area but the course should be basically the same as last year.
The race Ad is up at http://www.velopromo.com/dist-ent.htm
This is only if they use the same course:

There is a lot of housing construction going on in the East Garrison so who knows.
