Feedback for the Pacific State Bank GP
Mon, 06/25/2007 - 2:42pm
We are looking for feedback from our event this last Saturday. We had a great time putting it on and watched some excellent racing. Any feedback you provide will help us in preparing for next year's event.
We've already gotten some verbal committments from sponsors who watched the Pro1/2 events and would like to put on a bigger and more exciting event next year.
Also if I mispronounced your names at anytime during the day, my apologies.
You can send comments to sbutler20@hotmail.com and I'll share them with our group.

Just wanted to add that the bump in the first turn wasnt that bad, overall the course was awesome. The "texture" of the course just adds to the overall "flavor" of the race. Its what seperates out the good crit riders. Really the bumps were a non issue for me and just enabled me to flow right by guys riding cautiously.
I wouldnt change a thing. I really liked the Masters 45+ 2,3,4 format.
Cant wait to ride it next year!

It would be great if the results got posted to USA Cycling and the link on the team page gets straightened out....
The water was a great add.
I'm on it. Results should have been completed this am and I'll hound our reg/web guy for posting and will get them to USAC for posting there as well.

The water was a great add.
My only comments (not complaints) would be about the aformentioned bumps and potholes. But heck, they didn't really bother me that much. The elderly folks from the retirement home on the straightaway after turn #1 were an AWESOME cheering section. I had a big grin on my face each time we passed by them.
The prize list was also very generous. And nothing says "I love you" more than cold, hard cash.
If I could register for next year's race now, I'd be all over it.
Great job to the team for a race well done.
Chapeau!

Ditto Jesster!
The Pro 1/2 race was awesome! To watch Cal Giant organize
form the chase group amazing! I heard one of the Cal Giant
riders on his radio call for the troops, and they responsed.
To see all of them up front in the closing laps gave me goose
bumps. To top it all off, they won! Great Racing!
The course was great! Not a box! After 2 laps I knew where
not to be. Bumps were of no issue, did not cause any crashes
that I saw. Looking forward to next year. Thanks

A great day of racing. The organization was just fantastic!
Missus Jesster and Baby Zebra had a great time too.
Two suggestions: See if there's something that can be done about the wheel-breaking bump on Turn One, and those nasty ridged inside gutters on Turns One, Two, Four and Five. The little bouncy hole on the N/S stretch was well-marked, but it could easily have been filled.
Asphalt patch! A wonderful course-improvement investment, as we know so well at Cherry Pie.
The weather was perfect. The water and Williams Wheels were great to have. And I loved the 45+ 2/3/4 category, even though it doesn't count for BAT. It was a very even, competitive race. Frankly, so were the 3's and 35+ 1/2/3 races.
And what a GREAT finish for the pro/1/2's!! Man, what does it take for a break to stay away at Stockton? Even a pro tour motor like Aaron Olsen couldn't sell it. Way to go Cal Giant! You gave a clinic to everyone watching. It was absolutely bone-chilling, it was so impressive!
Thanks, Delta Velo/Pacific Bank/Anderson Homes. GREAT JOB!!

Super course, excellent wide finish straight. The first turn had kind of a gnarly bump in it, but besides that I really enjoyed the course. And well organized. Results were posted promtly.
