Many of us are unaware of the newest fantastic training methods available in the marketplace. Many of us also think that to become aware of these methods one needs to purchase a high-end power meter or hire the latest ex-pro from the peloton who doesn’t answer his/her email.
This is entirely false. Seriously, this is no longer true.
The newest methodologies in training are now available to the mainstream racer…YOU. All you need is a Heart Rate Monitor that enables you to download your data to the web. Now, don’t go and buy just any old meter just because you read this! Check with me first!
Yes, you might need to do a little testing (if you have a power meter I just look at your files) to create a Power Profile (your 5 second max, 1 minute max, 5 minute max and what is commonly called your Threshold – what you can sustain for one-hour. Don’t worry, you will not have to undertake a one-hour time trial – ouch). This simple testing will create a picture, a ‘profile’ of your current state of training. I can then create a Performance Manager Chart that will help to guide you to your best achievable fitness goals. With this knowledge of where you are now and some simple thinking of where you ‘want to be’ in the next season I will build you a comprehensive program that will get you the results you are looking for. I do not mean a win or placing. That comes from many other factors like skills, strategies, tactics and even Lady Luck. I can also help in these vital areas as well, except for the luck part.
Utilizing the latest trends in training via http://www.trainingpeaks.com, this new technology can be yours. Yes, you might be able to figure it out to your own advantage. However, why not enlist the services of a USAC Level 1 Coach so all you have to do is go out and ride! Your individual training plan is based upon your Power Profile and the hours you can realistically commit to. I will not ask/tell you to go out for a four-hour ride on a Tuesday when you work ten hours that day.
Why not contact me and see what I can do for you! I will give you a competitive quote on pricing and set you up for your first training session. The off-season is the best time to enlist the help of a Certified USAC Level 1 Coach. Easy Peasy!
