Early Bird Crit upgrade points

How many race credits do you receive from an early bird crit. I thought it used to be 2.

I've attended four clinics and races so far. Is this recorded online somewhere where I can verify my credits? I assumed that I would get 1.5 points for attending each weekend. How would they know who attended a clinic but didn't race?
1.5 points per week, so 6 for all four clinics and practice races.

Could someone clarify the upgrade points earned at EBC? Is it just for category 5 riders (and thus count as experience), or can category 4 riders earn actual upgrade points for attending the (in essence--cat 5) mentoring clinic?

Lots of questions are coming in about the Early Bird upgrade process.
4 to 3* - while not ideal (mentoring at 11:45-1pm, training race at 3:30pm), we always encourage category 4's to dust off and practice their pack racing skills. Upgrade points are available for the races (1.0 point each week) and for the clinics (.5 point each week). * Please see USA Cycling rule 1D2 for specifics on upgrading in fields of 50+ racers)
5 to 4 - riders receive .5 points for each clinic that they attend and safely complete and 1.0 points for each training race they start.
EB example: a rider attends all 5 weeks of mentoring and racing: 5.0 points for the training races and 2.5 points for the mentoring clinics.
Far fetched EB example: Jr or 45+ year old rider attends 5 weeks of mentoring and races TWICE a day: 10 points for training races and 2.5 points for mentoring clinics (75% of upgrade points must be earned through racing)
I hope this helps, Larry Nolan, USA Cycling upgrade coordinator and EB leader

A day that I'm on the bike is a good day.
