Cyclebration Omnium - Sept. 11-13

NOTE to RACERS: The web site previously indicated that the Cyclebration time trial was pre-reg only. This is TRUE. However, this also means that the road racing omnium is pre-reg only. This wasn't made clear in the past, but it is now. The TT promoter requires this in order to be able to group all categories of racers into similar/consecutive start times in order to avoid weather (temps and wind) from having any unfair influence on TT times.
C'mon out - last year's 1st annual event was awesome, and this year's is already better.
I've been told by my registration coordinator that pre-reg for the TT and omnium has been extended to 3:00 pm PST. Register at SportsBase Online.

Pre-reg for the Omnium and TT closes at noon on Wednesday, September 9. There will be no race day reg for the omnium or the TT.
Race day reg is available for the Challenge Criterium and the Two Bridges Circuit Race...pending category space available.

The total CASH purse package for the omnium is $6,000! Yup, six thousand dollars - cash. Some other "nice to haves" will be added to the cash, making this race worth your sweat. It's not the biggest race in northern California (yet), but not bad for our second year. Details of the prize purse will be on the website soon.
The cash purse for just the Two Bridges Circuit Race (this is in addition to the omnium cash) is over $1,300. High finishers aren't going to get rich, but they'll get a race or two paid for.
Indeed. You do not have to race all three races to receive omnium points, though I think it would be difficult to place well racing just two events.
So to be eligible for the omnium, racers have to enter all three races? I was under the impression that you could earn points toward the omnium in any of the events, and it was just the total that mattered.
