Cross Country MTB Race at Coyote Hills in Fremont.
Wed, 12/06/2006 - 9:37pm
I am working with EBPRD to promote a race from the NRL Junior Development Cycling team (nrlracing.org) to have an XC Race and SHORT TRACK Race at Coyote Hills During the END of June.
I was wondering who would be interested in a LOCAL BAY AREA XC Race and SHORT TRACK Race.
Holla,

With a SS class,
Hell ya!
I am all over this.
I hope it works out.

HECK-YEA! It's about time more mtb races started happening again. So glad to hear there will be a short-track and a cross country event. That area is not far from Specialized and Fox, so maybe the could get involved with sponsorship of the event, not to mention all the Silicon Valley companies. There's no reason why the event couldn't grow over the years and become a mini-Sea Otter, Norba series event or a World Cup Venue. There could even be some road event(s) tied into it or for example a "FAT-TIRE" Crit. (mtb with slick tires racing a criterium)
Also the whole Nor-Cal High School MTB league could have the race or the site as part of their series. There could even be a cyclocross-type event on the short-track course, just to appeal to more people and widen the spectrum because by June crossers will be eager to do some racing again.
I think there is lots of potential! (MTB stage race, etc)
I'm sure there will be a lot of interest in a new MTB race where people in the Bay Area don't have to drive 4 hours to get to!
Koodos to those that are putting this on and making this happen.
