I was in the Pro/1/2 race. Basically the field was cut in half by the second lap, and thru attrition, it kept shrinking each lap.

Levi and the rest of his break took off somewhere on lap 2, and the rest fought for the scraps.

It was full gas on the climb on the first three laps, and completely guttered in the crosswind on the plateau. Laps 4 and 5 were more tame, with the race being decided.

On the final lap, i was in the largest remaining group of 8 riders, with 5 up the road. It split yet again on the final climb, with my teammate going up the climb with two others.

Relatively high rpm's...Aerobic (cardiovascular) training that helps reduce the muscle fatigue. I frequently use higher rpm's during aerobic intervals in training, on the flats and on hills... We have the same coach and cadence is almost always specified for intervals.

His 120 cadence up the hill and accelerations that drop your jaw make up for the incognito kit...

The "unattached" cat 4 look draws less attention, at least before the race.

When LANCE entered U.S. local races, many times he rode in Nike-Black kit. They are a major Disc. sponsor, so he was representing a team sponsor.

I remember LANCE stating also that he did alot of his personal training rides in non-team kit. Remember those tv commercials where he was riding in the rain, at dark, etc.? They were many times in Nike kit.

Another thanks! Great stuff! He sure looks like Lance. Anyone know why is not wearing the Disco team kit?
