With a heavy heart I was surprised to see
the Fremont Peak Hill climb on the same date as the
Chico Downtown criterium (Sept 20). It does put a hardship
on an end of the season and far away downtown
criterium. I go to Chico every year; the p shape course is
technical and fun. The race very supportive by the community,
and well organized, by the Chico Corsa club,
including informed commentating.
Velo Promo promotes the Henleyville road race
the day prior so many racers/family could make it a
Northern California weekend.

Although, I agree both races (crit/hill climb) attract different strengths,
yet sometimes driving distance persuades.

I am attracted to hill climbs and would love to support this new venue.
But I am inclined to continue the Chico ritual to support the downtown criterium.

There is one more weekend in September (Sept 26/27), can the hill climb change?

respectfully,
