I actually know that, not sure why I put Mae West. I think I was channeling her that day; saucy. I'll correct that now.
HOWEVER, I still think that this pairing of live racing footage with metrics is frickin' cool! And, I STILL want to see a Pro woman's race with this display.
How can we make that happen? Who's the dude with the software? Do I know him?

Nope.
The quote was actually Lauren Bacall, 19 years old, speaking to Bogart, 42, in "To Have and Have Not." They met on the set and they were married within the year.
The story was Ernest Hemingway and the screenplay was William Faulkner. What a team.
The quote was ... "You just put your lips together and ... blow."

Hey, Tim! The HelmetCam Legislation was proposed for 2010 but did not pass (per Tom Simsonson).
You're right, I was thinking of this rule:
"1N6. Riders may not use radios, telephones, or other such communication devices. No earpieces may be worn; audio playback devices are expressly forbidden."
So as long as no audio playback or earpiece is involved, it's okay.

Thanks, glad that you liked it. I'm open to pointing the camera backwards if the field agrees to let me cross the finish line first :D
You've probably already seen that I used the program Dashware by Chase Cam. Trackvision also works well.
A word of caution before buying:
Last night I made a quick video of a teammate who was in my field of vision for a few minutes and used his data instead of mine (you can show data simultaneously if you want, might be cool for TTT or split screens of different riders).
He was using a powertap with the yellow head unit and his data was in 1.26 second increments. The video and data synchronization appears to drift apart over time.
Either the program has a problem with the time increments or I may have matched the video to the wrong data. I'll play with it tonight to find out for sure.
To date, the synchronization has worked perfectly with: quarq/garmin 705, SRM/SRM head unit and SRM/garmin 705. Garmin was on 1-second recording, SRM was 0.5 second.
This weekend I'll try a powertap/garmin 705 set to 1-second recording on a training ride to see if the data stays with the video.
That is way cool! Have watched Auto races show similar telementry. Would love to see that kind of visual in the PT. If it were possible to recieve live info, especially during an ITT.

My teammate Kea came up with a pretty simple workaround for the data and video drift with the yellow powertap head and 1.26-second sampling rate.
He wrote a program to duplicate each row of data then cut the time increments into 0.63-second segments.
I alter my files in Excel and wrote a quick macro to replicate Kea's idea. The video and the data line up much better and doesn't appear to drift.
The program seems to work well with any data increment that is one second or less.
Steeler football is 60 minutes!!
Jess,
Please tell me you looked at least part of that up.

just found my incentive to try and upgrade to 2 this year.

A day that I'm on the bike is a good day.
Nice,
Keep us posted on how it works.
I have a teammate with an HD bar/helmet mount. We have been shooting some footage on the mountain bikes.
He has a Garmin as well.
