CENTRAL COAST CIRCUIT RACE THIS SUNDAY NEAR MONTEREY.
Thank you to all the NCNCA cycling teams, racers, officials, and sponsors who all made the Central Coast Circuit Races so successful last season!
The 2011 version of the CCCX Circuit race rolls into gear this Sunday near Monterey, on the classic style roads of the former Army Base at Ft Ord.
We highly recommend pre-registration for the Circuit races. Pre-registration is open until late Friday night. Race day/on-site registration opens up at 7:30 a.m.
All pertinent race information can be found at www.cccxcycling.com
Please note- that all divisions will have awards presentations 30 minutes following the completion for each race. If you make the top 5 in any race, please make a point of being near the registration/check-in area for awards and podium photos 30 minutes after your finish.
Tim Westmore will be on-site getting excellent race photos!
Steve Anderson will also be on-site taking his excellent the race day photos!
The CCCX Circuit race #1 will be a key event for distribution of the new NCNCA/Times-7 timing chips. All USA Cycling licensed Cat 1/2/3 riders, Women Cat. 4 riders, and Men Cat 4 riders will be assigned permanent timing chips to use at many races during the year.
Times-7 representative Mark Davis will be at the registration area to distribute timing chips to riders. The CCCX Circuit race will not be scoring Race #1 of the series using the Times-7 system. Scoring will be done with video cameras. However this is an important chance for the NCNCA/Times-7 group to distribute chips to riders and to update the NCNCA/Times-7 data base with each riders current information and USA Cycling license number.
Please take time either before or after your race to visit with Mark Davis and receive your free of charge racing chip for the 2011 NCNCA Road Racing season.
Special thanks to Ken Hernandez who has shown great support for the Central Coast Circuit races, with his time and energy dedicated to registration and timely results for all. The work Ken Hernandez has done for overall results for all of the NCNCA Road events is fantastic, and the CCCX races are privileged to have Ken or Mary Hernandez involved for Reg. & Results!
Thanks to USA Cycling official Marc Franklin for his hard work in having a smooth running schedule on race day!
Ride Safe & Have Fun.
