Carrera course change?

Did anyone else get an email about the course being shifted 1 block to the north? This means that last years back straight is now this years start/finish straight?! Won't be the same without the store front and cafe's.

That 'north' looks more like 'west' to me. The course has been moved one block farther away from 101, in other words.
Now most of the elevation gain is on the start/finish straightaway, not between turns 1 and 2. Less drop between 3 and 4, but turn 4 is tighter. Start/ finish is still on 4th, but it will be a different race.
"Starts and finishes on 4th street," same as last year.
I could be mistaken but I distinctly recall that being announced a while back.
Cheesy question,my bad. I'm sure everyone got the email, I'm just wondering if it was a sudden change, or the promoters knew and waited until the day before to announce it.
