camping near Masters District Champs?

Anybody have a suggestion for a decent campground near the Diamond Valley RR course?

Best campground in ALL BLM system.
- $14 tent fee, or a combination site is $20 RV/Tenting fee
- flush toliets
- Go for Site #1!
- beutiful overlook of Indian Creek lake
- just a few miles south of race reg. school
- Bear proof food storage units at each campsite
- camp host
The CPTA guide has Hope Valley Resort listed on Hwy 88, a mile east of Hwy 89. Their number is (530) 604-2203 or (800) 423-9949. There's also Crystal Springs Campground about 2 miles west of Hwy 89, also on Hwy 88. Grover Hot Springs State Park is 3 miles west of Markleeville. Their number is (916) 694-2248. I haven't tried any of them yet, so let me know how you like them.
