I thought that max for any one team is 25% of the field, so what's wrong with having 20%?

As for the earlier question I think that it may be that after a field reaches the max, it closes, then a few riders may drop out or switch fields, so eventually the top places on the waiting list should get moved over.

In trying to get a feel for my odds of getting in off a waiting list for Berkeley Hills, I noticed that some of the fields "closed" on Bike Reg before reaching the corresponding field size (as indicated on Bike Reg and the race flyer). Is that a glitch, or an error in one number or the other? I also noticed that at least one field has more registrants than the indicated field size, which also seems odd.
