Just Curious if anyone thought the Spring HIll Race started off early in their respective Categories. I know at least 6-9 P,1,2 racers that were caught out and as a result and chased for a lap to no avail! grrr

Definitely i(we) must take a good bit of responsibility to get to the start line earlier....but with this particular event, they should have at least a bull horn at the far parking lot announcing Race Start Times for the folks who are trying to stay dry as long as possible!

This happen to anyone else?

Anyone else miss their Spring Hill Start times???

I was in the 2nd race (35+ 1/2/3) and we started about 2 minutes after our scheduled start time (8:10). I was at the start about 3 min early & stood under the reg tent.

Before I went to the line, as I waited for the start in my car (in the parking area that was about 400M from the start), I was surprised how many P/1/2 guys I saw still in the parking lot after their scheduled start time of 8:00. I saw several P/1/2 guys leaving the parking lot between 8:00 and 8:05.

Due to the conditions though, there were actually several racers who showed up, picked up their number, even pinned it on, but then didn't go to the start & just went home.

I was shivering in the reg tents waiting for my 9:10am start time. Leading up to my start there were a couple of other fields that went off and somebody was using a bullhorn to call them out from under any protective shelter and got them on the road.

I do remember driving to reg and seeing the split P/1/2 field go by. I was a little perplexed that something would have caused a split so early in the race. Sorry to hear about your situation.
