Another racing opportunity in Jan 2011
Sun, 11/14/2010 - 8:12am
For those wishing another criterium in January, there is one at Dominguez Hills, CA on 01/23/11. Two elite master races (30+ and 40+) each pay out $1000 cash prizes, and there is a separate 55+/60+ race; eleven categories in all at "The Anger Management Criterium":

The prizelist has three races with 1st place at $180 cash

The 01/23/11 race won't apply for USCF upgrades. If getting an upgrade is important to you, a southern California race on 12/12/10 IS an USCF race. Three cat 5 races, two cat 4 races, one cat 4/5 race, and one cat 2/3 race is scheduled. Here's the race registration link which is still open: http://www.socalreg.com Look for Upgrade Criterium #3. All the category 5 fields are full, but the two cat 4 fields are only half full.
The race promoter will honor your USAC category. If not a CBR member, it is an additional $7 for first race ($30-33) and another $15 (total) for each additional race. Many racers who have competed at CBR races in 2010 include these USAC licensees: Thurlow Rogers, Dan Vogt, Richard Meeker, Anthony Galvan, Chris DeMarchi, Aron Gadhia, Steve Strickler. And also Rashaan Bahati, Danny Heeley, Evan Teske, and even Dotie Baush and Pam Schuster. Some stiff competition indeed!

Just a note. This is a CBR race, is not affiliated with USAC and therefore does not offer upgrade points.
