I'm heartbroken to hear about Matt, Kristy, and Kristopher. I understand there was another serious injury with 4 AV riders up on Skyline later in the day. My heartfelt condolences and thoughts for quick healing go out to all involved, their families, friends, and teammates.

I have a photo of Matt attacking with 1 to go at Mclane in 2005. That flyer didn't stick that year but the thing about the photo is that John Peckham is on his wheel.

the spelling is wrong...i mean 'HEART'... for some reason this is really affecting me more than other accidents/deaths/my near death experiences with cars.

Upon hearing this, my heat is wrenched. I don't even know these people! My heart goes out to them, their family, friends. I am so sorry...and we complain about the little things.

I read about two cyclist who were killed by a vehicle driven by a deputy sheriff, but the names of the victims were not released. I understand a third rider was also seriously injured.

Yet another sad day for the cycling community.
