Anybody know when the NRC Schedule is coming out? Was suppose to be out Oct. 31 but I haven't seen or heard anything.
Thanks... :?:

As usual my attempts to be suggestive instead of coming right out with it have failed.
I think it says something very negative when racing in Colorado is not governed by a Colorado based National organization.
Honestly, who has better access to people in Colorado than people who are actually in Colorado?
Insurance concerns may eventually be the nail in the coffin in some areas.

I think it says plenty about a healthy competition between organizations but hardly a disaster for either. Both riders and promoters are equally free to affiliate with whomever they choose - just a few years ago NCNCA chose to become an independant local organizing association and then a few years later chose to re-affiliate with USA Cycling - no gun to the head at either decision. Oregon has also chosen to remain independant of USAC yet still has a few events permitted by USAC. Everybody gets to choose - it doesn;t get any better than that.

Wait a minute, Colorado runs races under an independant organization with the USCF's home base in Colorado?
What does that say about USCF?
If you can't get your own state to be part of the federation, you got problems.

Is that roughly proprotional the overall USAC membership that comes from California?

Only 18.7% of USCF membership comes from CA and NV. 9.7% comes from NCNCA territory.

Most of the races in CO are non-USCF events run by ACA, the local CO independent racing group. CO has a limited number of races that are USCF events but this year one of those events, Parker Omnium, was an NRC event. I guess the Parker promoters couldn't meet the new Min prize list requirements to be an NRC event next year.
Colorado has their own LA, the BRAC, and I believe that Texas is a part of USAC. They have a USA Cycling Professional Tour event with a UCI rating, but no NRC event.
Are CO and TX part of USAC or are they independent federations?
