Long course/short course info for Berkeley Hills and Pescadero
Two NCNCA road races in 2024 will be using the Long Course/Short Course format for the women’s event: Berkeley Hills Road Race and Pescadero Road Race. What does that mean for you?
Racers of ALL CATEGORIES may choose to race the LONG COURSE or SHORT COURSE. All racers in each distance will race TOGETHER as one field, regardless of category.
How you place in your distance will be recorded both within your category and overall:
- How you place within your CATEGORY earns you BAR/BAT points
- How you place in the OVERALL FIELD can be used with the full field size for USA Cycling upgrade points
Use OnTheDay.net “results” and “finish order” options to see those placings, respectively.
Which distance should I sign up for?
Whichever you prefer! …however, if the race has an omnium or is part of the Women’s Series, you will be required to race a certain distance if you want to score in the omnium/Women’s Series. Race registration will let you know what distance goes with each category. If you’re okay with not scoring omnium or Women’s Series points, then you can sign up for any distance.
Only the Berkeley Hills Road Race is part of the NCNCA Women’s Series BUT the full Omnium is part of the WHOLE regular BAR/BAT Series!
