NorCal CX training ride listings

Seeking CX training rides!

One of the frequent requests we get from local riders is how to find CX training rides in NorCal.  We all know how tough it can be to find good group rides, let alone CX training.  So--if you have a training group or would like to find one, drop a line and we'll publish a listing.

Contact riders directly using email addresses listed in the messages.  To add a message to the list, send email to davidlcarr@aol.com.

I'm interested in doing cyclocross this year. I'm based in Castro Valley. Where's the next training ride and when?

My name is Horace Armour. I've never done cyclo cross and I'm looking for training rides in the Bay Area. I live in San Ramon.

I'm putting on a CX Training Day (just like the movie) for all motivated parties.  Technical handling, Barriers, running, Starts, sprints and skills will be covered.  Update:  With the time change, we will be meeting directly at De La Veaga park Santa Cruz at 3 pm every Wednesday.   All abilities welcome, but be prepared to work hard.   I know many people will still be in work/school/bed at the time, so just show up as soon as you can.

Itchin' to ride that CX bike again? You or a friend thinking about trying it for the first time?  Cyclocross Clinics and Rides on Wednesdays 6pm in GG Park - more info on the Sycip Website. This week we'll discuss Training for CX, then we can all chase the DFL boyz around the course they have so lovingly prepared.  Pls fwd to your SF cycling friends: http://www.sycip.com/ - our team page has the details.    (Rides are no longer running following the time change.)

I will be having a 'cross session in Rohnert Park, every Friday from 10/3 to 1/3!   7 am: warm up and practice, 7:30 am: Practice Race. 8 am: Collect your ass back from the leaders on the day and head to work.  Crane Park (Rohnert Park/Penngrove area). Take Petaluma Hill road to Robert's road. Crane is at the bottom of the hill as it starts to climb. ~2 miles from Petaluma Hill road. Cost: notta, zero, zilch, nothing! Unless you drive to the park, then there is a $2 parking fee.

I work in Petaluma and I'm generally up for lunchtime CX training rides, maybe at Putnam Park in Petaluma.  Drop a line if you're interested.

We have Tuesday training rides on the Toasted Head cross course.  Here's a flyer. Last week a couple of crossers came by and were happy with the course. It's a nice ride.   Later,  Ernesto.
